I think, Ganguly has surpassed one Mr. K.D Nikhanj in making people desperate to see him go - at least once Kapil got his 434, he spared us the agony. Ganguly is making sure that we see the various version of the same story. Like the insipid remakes that Dr. Vijay makes of already insipid telugu movies, Ganguly remakes his own - If it was G. Chappell in the Indian team, its Buchchanan in KKR. If it was Dravid in the national team, here its B. McCullum. Frankly, Mr. Ganguly, if you had not noticed, remakes and especially Vijay movies are flopping like anything nowadays. So please take pity on those who want to see cricket (and not your third rated politics/DADAGIRI) and kindly retire from every form of cricket currently being played and those that will be invented in the future.
P.S: Mr. G, please talk to one Mr. Steve Waugh who was dropped after one failed home ODI series about how to make a graceful exit.

what the hell is the guy still doing playing cricket!

Rofl!Have never had a hearty laugh,ur 'Dr.Vijay's' movies can compete though!Thanku!Have a discussion on the basis of facts and not on pre-assumptions.

1.Ganguly never accepted his best captaincy/playing days are behind him.He still maintains he has 2 years of cricket left in him.
2.He was 'asinga paduthified',I suppose u know what followed,he fought back with centuries in Duleep trophy and earned his place rightfully in the national squad.FYI,he was the top run getter in ODI's and Tests that season(at a commendable Stike rate)and bagged the 'Asian Cric of the Year.'He got a fairytale farewell, with a huge fan following. Was lifted up on the shoulders and carried and captained the final moments. Now,is that what u call 'asinga paduthified?'Amusing.
3.He's accepted the KKR mgmt decision gracefully and there is not 'monangal' going on here.Take loses and insults in your stride and fightback, hallmark of a sportsman.
4.Four man of the matches, another case of ur figures being wrong-it is three.Nonetheless, least dirty socks,
a)Ricky Ponting-10000 odd runs in Test cricket
b)Brendon McCullum-One of the most destructive batsmen in T20.
c)Ishant-Anyone would have smelt the leather...his spells in Aus.
d)D.Hussey-prominent T20 player in Aus circuit wih loads of runs.
U call these men dirty socks?
If thats the case, being the least dirty sock is something to be proud of.
5)Anyway,KKR is bound to trash CSK on 25th!
*shake hands*

1.Ganguly never agreed that his best playing/captaincy days are over.He still maintains he has a couple of years of cricket left in him.
2.'asinga paduthified'-I suppose u know what followed after that-there might be a mis interpretation if u dont post the full story.Ganguly scored centuries in Duleep Trophy and earned his place rightfully in the national squad.Snubbed More,Greg and Rahul. They were lef with no option but to pick him up.That was the strength of his case.Continued to pile up the runs in the international scene(Mind u!At a commendable Strike Rate)and ended up being the highest run getter for the country in Tests and ODI's that season and was among the top 3 run scorers in the world.Bagged the 'Asian Crickter of the Year' award.Had a fairytale farewell,
captained the final moments in the Test series and was lifted by his team mates on their shoulderS and treated with all grandeur in the dressing room.Is this what you call asinga paduthified?Amusing.
3.He has accepted the KKR mgmt's decision gracefully and there is no 'monangal'going on here.Take things in your stride,Sourav does, thats the true spirit of sportsmanship.Learn to accept.
4.Dirty socks-
a)Ricky Ponting-Over 10000 runs in Tets cricket and Aus WC winning captain
b)McCullum-One of the most dreaded and the most destructive batsmen in T20 cricket
c)I.Sharma-bowled the livliest of spells in Aus-anyone would have smelt the leather
d)David Hussey-prominent batsmen in Aus circuit and heavily relied by his national team.
If these players are whom u call dirty socks, one can take pride in being the least dirty of them.
4 M.O.M's-Nah!3!Another instance of the post not being on the basis of facts.
5.Anyway.doesnt matter who the captain is-CSK will be trashed by KKR.
'Sodhanai for Sodha!'Creative!
Beg to differ though!
1.over hyped-when authors deragotory, ppl tend to watch out for Sourav because of the negative hype. His fans never generate so much hype.
2.well-beyond-bury-date-Can hear the Don turning uncomfortably in his grave. As i type these words he 's just picked up two wickets and ready to bat.Scored a match saing century in his final Test series.
3.SRT and RSD have just comeback from NZL where the pitches are more seaming,Kumble's spell was a fluke, except for the flipper he did'nt deserve any other wicket.U cant judge by a single match,if u were to do so,Sachin would have been chucked after his dream debut duck.
4.SCG is not hungry for power. He has come out in the open and said he is happy with McCullum leading the team.
5.This is exaggeration.Kapil was booed when he retired and SCG was celebrated.True.
6.Remakes-Spot on!Just as Chappell and Rahul were made to eat their hats, insulted,so will be the case of JB and BMcC.Telugu reamke-nah!Pure Bengali version.
7.Dadagiri is not politics,its a path/way against petty politics.
Listen,heard of a certain R.Ashwin?
A couple of years junior to u in school?Well,he was picked in the CSK 11.Ashwin has played match winning knocks in Ranji, scored centuries-he was sent in as No.11 in CSK's first match-behind the likes of Chris Martin like Gony.Ashwin is the leading wicket taker in T.N and has got his figures to speak in the national level, toubled SRT in the Challengers Trophy-he wasnt given a single ball to bowl in the match. Now,that is poltics by MSD.
If Sourav hadnt encouraged Sehwag,Bhaji,Yuvi and Zak,Dhoni would have been left without the nucleus of the present team.
Long Live Dadagiri!
8.Kindly retire-contradicting?U had mentioned why does he accept that his best days are over
9.S.C.G had a better final odi series than SRW.His farewell was more grand than the one at MCG's.
Mr.'Ji' will have no business to meet Waugh.Even if he does,Waugh will do well to remember what happened when they were to turn up together at the toss.
10.Ego-Few columnists in Dailies fail to acknowledge certain achievements of ppl. That is ego.
If anyone plays for Team India for a decade, there is bound to some pride assosciated with it.
Pleasure reading ur other posts.
Long Live Dadagiri!
post deragotarily..*
3rd line!
@ Dinesh Kannan,
1. Let us leave the likes out of the picture. I whole heartedly support that Tendulkar has to retire from tests and play ONLY in away ODI series. So I'm not plumping for SRT or RSD.
2. When Ganguly retired, out of the fab four, he was the MOST vulnerable. You talk of a match saving century - I would call that as a saving grace. That he came back on the basis of flat track bully performances in the Indian domestic scene (which is crap, IMO) is 1. the pitiable condition of talent in India 2. the selectors dilly dallying.
3. Regarding his performance after the 'comeback' (which was a throwback for Indian cricket) was that in ODIs he consistently scored at a strike rate of ~70. I do not know what your agreeable ODI strike rates are. In 2007,2008, I look at something in the high 80s or 90s.
4. I'm looking forward towards the Chennai - Kolkatta match too. I want to see KKR team being kick-assed by Dhoni's team. Dhoni and Ganguly can be mentioned in the same sentence only when there is a negation is included too.
5. Ganguly is responsible for crappy batsmen like Yuvraj singh being given such a long rope while people like Murali Kartik and Hemang Badani had their careers killed becaused they perhaps did not worship the ground that Sodha walked on.
6. Check out the IPLFAKEPLAYER blog to check out the power hunger of Mr. Ganguly.
:)

Case in favour of yours souravly?I suppose yes.
Regd. the latest set of Hamilton Burger-like impertinent, irrelevant and immaterial accusations:-
1.Leaving out the likes-I believe that the comparison with the likes in the post can also be left out.
2.Most vulnerable when he retired?
Who put this idea in your mind?
His last three test series-
1.Ind vs Aus - Rahul Dravid couldnt get bat to ball. Now,that is being vulnerable.Sachin was the highest scorer in the series followed by Sourav. His penultimate innings saw him scoring 85-You cant possibly score 85 when you are vulnerable.Even,if thats the case who cares?85 was thrice better than the most vulnerable batsmen then-RSD.
2.SL away series -Sachin couldnt have made Mendis more happy.Sachin was the lowest run getter among the Fab4.
3.SA series-Trailing 1-0,third test match,on a tricky pitch India lost its top order.Ganguly applied himself on the wicket and scored 80odd-MOM.The M.O.M couldnt have got the cheque if he was vulnerable.
Ponts1,2,3 are strong enough to emphasise that he wasnt vulnerable.
Match saving century-Do u want a batsman who comes at No.6 to score a double ton everytime he gets to bat?
Indian domestic scene-Every pitch isnt a dustbowl like Chepauk is.
Scene:Mohali
Villain:A perfect bowler's paradise pitch and the pace battery of Punab(Pace battery coz of the pitch)
Hero:DADA not S****(Who is it,u keep mentioning ;)
With scores of ~40 and ~80 in the innings in a 150 odd team total match.
So,falt tracks did'nt exist on the grounds(worshipped by the players!)
Sourav walked, thrived and resurrected his carrer.
a)There is talent in India more than any other country, system is unable to unearth it,times are changing.
b)There will be dilly dallying when one scores heavily. You cant ignore the Prince when he is performing like Dhoni does to Ashwin.
3.Scoring 70 runs at the strike rate u mentioned is better than Mr.X(D,Y,whoeva) scoring 10 at a strike rate of 100.
5.H.Badani found himself at the wrong place at the wrong time. Sachin,Sehwag,Sourav,VVS,Kaif,RSD and your crappy batsman - one cant possibly get in if he plays 40 matches and still score inconsistently.
He replaced VVS.VVS replace him again and scored a century in the deciders against Pak in '04.You need to cash in on the chances.Badani failed to do so.
As for Murali (thy!)-Who do you reckon should have been dropped?
Anil Kumble with 400 wickets behind him or H.S with 200 odd.
Whenever there was a chance for a third spinner,he played.
You have conviniently avoided the MSD way of politics.Ashwin's case?
Your schoolmate.Dont leave him high and dry.Dhoni is playing petty politics.
Following suit, his bro just joined BJP under the surname of 'Dhoni'
6.You very well know the mentioned blog is a fake and has no authenticity assosciated with it,no point in believing it.
Kolkata is more hungry for Mr.G to be back at the helm, than himself.
4."Dhoni and Ganguly can be mentioned in the same sentence only when there is a negation is included too."
I guess you mean Ganguly is in a higher pedestal and Dhoni's name cant come alongwith Sourav's?Ganguly identified Dhoni's 'talent'.If there wasnt Sourav, there wouldnt have been Mahi! The system was so poor that favouritism rules.
Here's something- CSK vs KKR
I shout Korbo!Lorbo!Jeetbo!KKR!
